The bark Terminator is controlled by a microprocessor which distinguishes your dog's bark from other environmental noises and automatically delivers sound and shock stimuli after each bark. The output level of sound and shock is increased gradually as barking continues, giving your pet plenty of warning before it becomes painful. The Bark Terminator's unique pattern of increasing sound and shock quickly teaches your pet that it is its own bark that is causing the discomfort. The result is a quicker, less painful and more humane approach to bark control.
At the 1st bark the Bark Terminator applies a short warning tone. If a 2nd bark occurs within 30 seconds a more intense tone is sounded along with a short mild shock. If you dog barks a 3rd time both the tone and shock are made more intense. This pattern is repeated through 5 correction levels. If your dog continues to bark through all 5 levels, the most intense sound and shock are applied after each bark until your pet stops for 30 seconds or more. After 30 seconds or quiet, the Bark Terminator automatically resets to the 1st tone only, level of correction. When your dog forgets and bark again, the warning tone reminds your pet without immediately applying painful stimulus.
Getting started: Place the collar around your dog's neck and adjust the collar length using the slide buckle arrangement provided with the strap. The collar should fit snugly underneath your dog's neck. Make sure that the electrodes are in direct contact with your dog skin. Hair between the shock effect. If necessary it is advisable to clip or shave your dog's fur under the neck to insure direct contact. Effective on a 5-150 pounds dog and up to 12" neck. The Bark Terminator is a battery operated so it will need a 6 volt battery size 2/3 AA. NOTE: this collar is not water proof, by any chance if it touch water then just take the collar out and let it dry before putting back on your pet.
